“OLD PAL” refers to a close, long-time friend.

The graphic features a vintage phonograph and vinyl record, inspired by the atmosphere of Japan’s Taisho Roman era. Phonographs were first introduced to Japan during the Meiji period, and the artwork captures a nostalgic mood that blends music culture with a sense of timeless friendship.

The illustration evokes the warmth of old music and shared memories—like listening to records with an old friend.

The body uses a durable construction with a double-stitched rib collar, designed to resist stretching even after repeated wear.

Shrinkage after washing is one of the biggest concerns for T-shirts. To maintain the original silhouette, the fabric has been carefully developed so that the average shrinkage remains around 3%, helping the garment retain its shape over time.

The 2026 New Year Quick Strike “UMA – Hinoe-Uma” is a special release created to mark a rare moment in the Japanese zodiac calendar.

2026 is the year of Hinoe-Uma, a combination that appears only once every 60 years. Both Hinoe (fire) and Uma (horse) share the element of fire, symbolizing intense energy, momentum, and transformation. This collection was designed as a modern interpretation of that powerful symbolism—something to carry into the beginning of a new year.

The artwork is created by YU SUDA, whose work blends humor, cultural references, and a uniquely Japanese perspective. His graphic captures the raw force and spirit of Hinoe-Uma through a contemporary streetwear lens, aligning naturally with RUTSUBO’s philosophy of culture-driven design.

Released as part of RUTSUBO’s Quick Strike series, this item is produced in limited quantities and will not be restocked. It is not a seasonal staple, but a time-specific piece meant to exist only in this moment.
